Music Mumbles

Well, that was ... different. Not quite what I expected. Musicians were good, but since it was an open mic night, it seemed every folk singing, man hating, frumpy, off key, Alanis Morreset wannabe wanted to jump up and sing their originals. I honestly wanted to slit my throat after a while. Once all those types cleared out, the band played a few more and then called it a night. Kinda cool to get out again, but this is not what I normally associate with a night out of playing. Would have been just as happy sitting home, playing planetside, and drinking coffee, but I'm glad I went at least.

That sort of thing seems to be the only "music" we get around here. The bands they used to get at the local bookstore sounded like High School bands warming up.
I'm not a city guy, but it makes me long for that sort of environment.
Luck.
